The Weekly - Feb 24-Mar 2

We had a great fundraising weekend. The cadets were great and the support from guardians and the general population was heartwarming. 

The next fundraiser will be a bottle drive. Watch this space for more info!


Looking ahead, please make sure that you have marked your calendars for Saturday, June 7. Please do NOT make plans to be away. This is the date of the Annual Ceremonial Review, and neither your cadet nor their family will want to miss it.


Training this week: 

Monday: Range Team Practice - 1800-2100 hrs (6:00-9:00PM)

Tuesday: CASC basics 1800-2000 hrs (6:00-8:00pm) Intermediate 1900-2100 hrs (7:00-9:00pm)

Wednesday: Final Effective Speaking Practice - 1900-2030 hrs (7:00-8:30pm) Cadets bring your prepared speech for a practice run this night. ALSO: Hornet Flight Night 6:30-8:30

Thursday: Effective Speaking Competition Training Night - dress is C1's All cadets are invited and encouraged to attend to spectate their peers at the 2024/25 676 Effective Speaking Competition!

Sunday: Drill Team 1500-1700 hrs (3:00-5:00pm)

Capernwray - May 23-25 (the sign up is now closed, if you would like to be on the wait list, email Capt Newlove - Stephen.Newlove@cadets.gc.ca)


Tag Days - HUGE THANK YOU to all the cadets from the CO and all the officers!

CAF engagement - March 20 (due March 6 sign up is posted in the General channel) still room for 3 more cadets! This is open to all levels.Level 1/

Medal applications:

Lord Strathcona and Legion Medal of Excellence applications are being accepted until 6 March with interviews being held on 13 March. Applications are by way of letter clearly outlining how they meet the selection criteria and are to be addressed to the CO. Letters may be handed in person or emailed to: Jean-Guy.Mayer@cadets.gc.ca by the deadline above.  Info for applications are posted in teams, general channel.
