FUNDRAISING:
THANK YOU to Roy Tam for a) mostly filling the shed out back, and b) arranging the bottle drive. We filled over 13 bins! This is the most in ages, so fingers crossed, it will be close to $1000! Thank you also to everyone who got dirty sorting. It was hard, but rewarding work!
Purdy's: Megan Mbao is again running a purdy's campaign. Here is her message from the Forum:
It's that time of year again for holiday preparations. We are launching the Purdy's chocolate fundraiser, a parent-led initiative as in previous years. To add an element of friendly competition, we will be dividing into the five teams listed below. The parent team that achieves the highest chocolate sales will earn a $1 canteen credit for each cadet on that team.
How do you see what is available and how do you order for the correct team? There are a number of ways to get to your team page:

There will be posters up in the cadet hall with QR codes for each team.
There are 9 brochures per team with a QR code attached to the front at the cadet hall. Feel free to take one home, to the office, or wherever!
What are the benefits of fundraising with Purdy’s?
As long as we place an order for $1000 or more we will earn a 25% rebate! If we submit on order for $5000 we will earn an additional 2.5%.
This is a great way to get some gifts checked of the list and to support the cadet program.
If you find that you have ordered under the wrong team, simply let me know and I can move the order to your team.

TRAINING THIS WEEK:
Monday - Range: 6-9- ALL WELCOME. Wear comfy clothes.
Band: at the Armory - You must sign up in advance through Captain Kelly as this is run in a different squadron!
Tuesday - CASC - Basic 6-8, Intermediate 7-9
***NOTE*** CASC is at capacity until January. If you have not already been attending, you will need to wait until January!
Wednesday - Media club is postponed! Next meeting is November 13
Thursday - CO's Parade - ALL GUARDIANS ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND. Please arrive to be seated by 6:45.
Drill begins on November 17
Effective Speaking will begin on November 20
I will send a separate email later this week re: Remembrance Day.

Hi Mary - I was just about to order photos and wasn't sure if Package 4 (2 5x7's) includes a squadron photo? That is only mentioned on the 8x10's.
