We have 2 important events coming up, and we need volunteers. The first training day back from the holiday break will be a potluck. I have a spreadsheet here that everyone can add what they'll bring, but it would be helpful to form a committee to make sure the event goes smoothly! Please fill it out with what you feel comfortable contributing. Families bring enough extra to feed 6-8 people:

We REALLY need a committee for this huge event. We have at least 2 people willing to mentor for this year and the future, but we need a solid committee to make it happen in a good way.

FUNDRAISING:

Roy Tam has arranged for the Annual Bottle Drive and Tree Chipping for JANUARY 11, 2025.

I'm hoping the Media Club can help with some promotional materials, but please start spreading the word now. More info to come. 

TRAINING:

Today (Sunday) Dec. 1: Open Drill Team: 3-5pm. Please wear casual clothes with wedge and boots.

Monday, Dec 2: Range: LIMITED NIGHT - Cadets MUST check the Teams Channel to see if they have been selected.

Tuesday, Dec 3: CASC: Open to cadets who are registered. New cohort will begin in Jan.

Wednesday, Dec 4: Effective Speaking: 7-8:30

Thursday, Dec. 5: CO'S PARADE! Cadets arrive as close to 6:15 as possible. Guardians and family are ENCOURAGED to attend. There will be promotions!

Please arrive in time to be seated by 6:45.

Sunday: Drill team: 3-5 

OTHER IMPORTANT ITEMS:

676 Kittyhawk is collecting non-perishables for the Sidney Food Bank. We'll be collecting for the next 3 weeks, so please send your cadet with donations. Most needed items can be found here:

There will be a level 3+ FTX  January 31-Feb 2. This is an "Area Directed Activity" meaning it will have cadets from other squadrons. We can only send 11, so please make sure your cadet really wants to attend before they sign up, which will close at the break.
