The Weekly - March 9-16

Good evening all,

Don't forget there is an SSC meeting on Thursday night from 6:30-7:30. It will be short as there will be interviews for the Lord Strathcona and Legion Medal of Excellence directly after the meeting. All guardians are encouraged to attend!

There is a fundraiser running now from Sarah and Gord Randall and B&C foods. The form is attached. Please send the list of items you'd like to order to: snrandall84@gmail.com. All products will be available for pickup on March 29.

Please block of June 7 for the Annual Ceremonial Review in the morning. More details will follow, but please keep this day free!

Weekly March 10-16 



Monday: Range Team Practice - 1800-2100 hrs (6:00-9:00PM)


Tuesday: CASC Basics 1800-2000 hrs (6:00-8:00pm) Intermediate 1900-2100 hrs (7:00-9:00pm) please check Teams channel if you are unsure of which group you are in, cadet lists are posted.


Wednesday: Band and Media Club 1900-2030 hrs (7:00-8:30pm) starting in April band will be 1830-2030 hrs


First Biathlon practice is also Wednesday 1900-2100 hrs (7-9pm) practices will be Mondays following this week. Zones are April 12th


Thursday: Sports Night/Community Service 1830-2115 hrs (6:30-9:15pm) dress for sports and for going outside - we will be street cleaning. Wear layers and jacket and gloves based on the weather. Bring a full water bottle. Next parade night April 3rd CO’s Parade. Medal application interviews are this night, see info below.


Sunday: No Drill Team practice over Spring Break, next practice will be March 30th

June 7th – ACR (Annual Ceremonial Review) Mandatory Year End Parade – Daytime


June 12th – Year end BBQ/Promotions/Level Badges – Final Night



Spring break activities:


Last Parade night before Spring Break is this week - March 13th Regular 676 weekly activities are stood down (closed) from March 15-29th. Have a great Spring Break all!



March 28/29 overnight activity at the hall - Level 1/Accelerated Training Workshop - sign up sheet is here and in the general channel. https://forms.office.com/r/SdPSa9JD4C


Training will include: drill lessons, uniform care, range, and more including a movie night and sleepover on the parade square!



March 20: CAF engagement (sign up is extended to March 11th the link is posted here and in the General channel) we still have room for 3 more cadets! This is open to all levels. https://forms.office.com/r/F77h9tEkZa

Medal applications:


Lord Strathcona and Legion Medal of Excellence applications are now closed. interviews will be this Thursday 13 March. Applicants, please check your email for your interview time. Dress is dress of the day (civilian clothes).
