TAG DAYS!!!!!!!!!
Hi everyone,
I've been so focused on the Mess Dinner, that I hadn't looked ahead to the next major volunteer opportunity for guardians. Tag Days.
What is a Tag Day?
It's a fundraising opportunity where the cadets have permission to solicit (respectfully) for donations while wearing their uniforms. They will stand at various pre-determined places with a jar to collect donations. It is very much like the Poppy Sales, but the money will be counted by us.
The Department of National Defence allows cadets to fundraise ONLY for specific cadet related activities. They've been given permission to fundraise at this time for the Capernwray Team Building FTX coming up in the spring.
We NEED YOU to help out for this important event.
We are looking for:
*people to confirm with local businesses that the cadets
*people to drive cadets to and from the businesses
*SCREENED GUARDIANS TO CHAPERONE THE CADETS WHILE THEY ARE FUNDRAISING
*people to shop for snacks for when cadets return from "tagging"
*people to count funds collected
*maybe volunteers to run an electronic fund system
*something else that I've forgotten, but will remember soon!!!!
Captain Mayer says there will be 3 shifts of 3 cadets at 3 locations each day. We will need one screened guardian at each location for each shift.
Shifts are 10-12; 12-2; 2-3.
Screened guardians are encouraged to sign up for more than one shift if at all possible.
The Sign-up genius below should have all the exact needs listed, so PLEASE help out where you can!

Screened volunteer opportunities
Please note that cadets are EXPECTED to participate and that the exact locations may change.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out!
In good spirit,
Mary
