Happy Sunday, Everyone, 

This week, it's almost all about the Mess Dinner!  But first:

LEADERSHIP APPOINTMENT APPLICATIONS ARE DUE TONIGHT AT MIDNIGHT!

If your cadet is thinking about moving beyond Sgt., they will need to send their application in by midnight tonight! They should know what this means, but I encourage YOU to encourage them! This is a new procedure, and cadets should not be intimidated to apply as it shows their commitment to the program. 

Mess Dinner: If this is your cadet's first time at the Dinner, you probably have some questions. I will try to anticipate some of them, but reach out if you have questions not answered here.

1. Where: At the Mary Winspear in Sidney.

2. Volunteers: We still need servers and people to help with the clean-up. Please sign up here:

We have quite a few small gifts (THANK YOU everyone who has donated so far) but we could use a few more small gifts. If you can drop them off either tomorrow evening at 6 or Tuesday evening at 6, that would be great.

3. Dress: Your cadet should know what to wear, and if they have access to Cadets365 they can confirm, but in general: blue uniforms if they have them. Cadets who want to wear bow ties will be able to access them at the Mary Winspear before the dinner begins. Cadets without blue uniforms, or those who want to dress differently (check with an officer first) please dress as formally as possible.

4. Time: Cadets arrive at Mary Winspear at 5:15. Pick-up is at 9:00, though they sometimes run a little late. We can always use help clearing things if you are there waiting)

Training for the week:

Monday: Range for those competing.

Tuesday: CASC Basic 6-8 pm; Intermediate 7-9pm. There were 7 new cadets offered spots in basic. If you are unsure if your cadet is signed up, please email Captain Ralphs: bruce.ralphs@cadets.gc.ca

Wednesday: Effective Speaking 7-8:30 ALL WELCOME

Sunday: DRILL CANCELLED DUE TO AREA DIRECTED ACTIVITY
